PPGL coil (Pre-Painted Galvalume Steel Coil) is a hot-dip Alu-zinc steel coil (55% Al, 43.4% Zn, 1.6% Si) that has been pre-treated and then coated with one or more layers of organic paint, followed by baking and curing. The result is a coil that combines the corrosion resistance of the Alu-zinc substrate with the decorative and protective benefits of a paint coating.
This product is ideal for buyers who need:
Color-coated roofing sheets with better durability than PPGI
Fencing panels with immediate color finish
Decorative wall panels, ceiling panels, or partition boards
A higher-corrosion-resistance alternative to PPGI for coastal or industrial environments

Coating System Selection
Choosing the right coating system is the most important decision for PPGL buyers. Here is a simple guide:
PE (Polyester) — Economic choice, 5–10 years outdoor durability. Best for general roofing, fencing, and indoor decoration.
SMP (Silicone-Modified Polyester) — Mid-range, 10–15 years. Suitable for roofing with moderate durability needs.
HDP (High-Durability Polyester) — Mid-to-high range, 15–20 years. Good for exterior roofing and wall panels.
PVDF (Fluorocarbon) — Premium choice, 20–25 years. Best for coastal areas, industrial pollution, and high-end projects.

Application Matching
Corrugated roofing sheet : 0.3–0.6 mm, AZ100–AZ150, PE or HDP. Color finish plus better corrosion resistance than PPGI.
Construction fencing : 0.3–0.5 mm, AZ100–AZ150, PE. Immediate color finish, durable in outdoor exposure.
Decorative panels : 0.4–0.8 mm, AZ100–AZ150, PE or PVDF. Color and surface texture options for design requirements.
Coastal / high-corrosion environment: AZ150 + PVDF or HDP. Maximum corrosion and UV protection.
PPGL vs PPGI: Which One Should You Choose?
The key difference is the substrate. PPGI uses a pure zinc coating; PPGL uses a 55% Alu-zinc alloy coating. As a result, PPGL offers roughly 3x the corrosion resistance of PPGI substrate, better heat resistance (around 300°C), and a longer service life in harsh environments.
- Rule of thumb: If your project is in a general environment and budget-sensitive, choose PPGI. If the project is coastal, industrial, or requires longer maintenance cycles, PPGL is worth the premium.
FAQ
Q: What is your MOQ?
A: Usually 25 MT per size and color. For trial orders, we can discuss mixed specifications.
Q: Can you match a specific RAL color?
A: Yes. We match RAL color cards or customer samples. Color confirmation before production is standard procedure.
Q: What is the difference between PE and PVDF coating?
A: PE is economic with 5–10 years outdoor durability. PVDF is premium with 20–25 years durability, suitable for coastal or high-UV environments. Tell us your market and we will recommend the right one.
Q: Do you supply both coils and formed sheets?
A: Yes. We supply PPGL coils as raw material and can coordinate press-forming for corrugated roofing sheets according to your profile requirements.
Q: What documents can you provide?
A: Mill Test Certificate (MTC), coating thickness report, and third-party inspection (SGS/BV) can be arranged upon request.
Q: What is the lead time?
A: Typically 20–35 days after deposit or L/C, depending on quantity, color, and coating specification.
