Corrugated Roofing Sheet/ Roll-Formed Steel Sheet

For our clients, roll-formed metal roofing/cladding panels are the direct end-products derived from color-coated, galvanized, or galvalume (Al-Zn coated) steel coils. We supply the raw material coils and coordinate the roll-forming process according to client specifications, providing a one-stop solution that takes the product from coil to finished, shaped panel.

Product overview

Press-formed roofing sheets (also known as roll-formed steel sheets) are construction panels produced by continuously cold-rolling and shaping materials such as color-coated, galvanized, or galvalume (aluminum-zinc alloy coated) steel coils. Depending on their cross-sectional profile, they come in various shapes—such as corrugated, trapezoidal, or standing-seam profiles—and are widely used for roofing, wall cladding, and perimeter fencing.

Key Performance Advantages
  • Enhanced Sectional Rigidity. By roll-forming flat steel coils into corrugated, trapezoidal, or ribbed profiles, the moment of inertia is significantly increased. This provides the necessary flexural load-bearing capacity for use as an enclosure material, enabling the panels to withstand roof loads and foot traffic during construction.

  • Excellent Drainage and Overlapping. The crests and troughs—or trapezoidal ribs—create continuous drainage channels. Overlap joints can be sealed to minimize the risk of leakage.

  • No Alteration to Material Properties. The roll-forming process takes place at ambient temperature and only modifies the cross-sectional shape; the mechanical properties of the steel substrate and the integrity of the metallic or organic coatings remain unchanged.

  • Flexible Combinations of Profiles and Materials. A single roll-forming machine can be adapted to produce various profiles. Raw material options include galvanized steel (an economical choice), galvalume (offering superior corrosion resistance), or pre-painted steel. Coating systems—such as PE, SMP, or PVDF—can be selected based on the specific project requirements for weather resistance and aesthetic appearance.

Common Profile Classifications
Panel TypeCross-Sectional CharacteristicsTypical Applications
Wavy (Corrugated) PanelContinuous arc-shaped corrugationsRoofing, enclosures, canopies
Trapezoidal PanelTrapezoidal ribs with significant heightRoofing and wall cladding for industrial buildings
Standing Seam PanelRib edges can be locked/seamed togetherLong-span roofing, buildings with high waterproofing requirements
Horizontal Wall Panel Shallow rib profile Wall decoration, enclosure panels

  • Wave height 25 mm, wave pitch 210 mm, effective coverage width 840 mm. Common effective widths include 750, 820, 840, 900, and 1025 mm.

Typical Applications (Based on Use Cases of Our Clients)

  • Roofing Panels. Used for industrial facilities, warehouses, logistics parks, commercial buildings, and temporary structures.

Pre-painted materials offer a variety of color options, while galvanized or Galvalume (zinc-aluminum coated) materials provide a silver-white metallic appearance; the choice depends on the specific project’s requirements for aesthetics and weather resistance.

  •  Fencing/Enclosure Panels.
Commonly used for construction site hoardings and temporary partition walls. Pre-painted materials are available in standard colors—such as blue, gray, or white—allowing for immediate installation after forming, with no need for additional on-site painting.
  •  Decorative Purposes.
The corrugated or ribbed metallic texture can be utilized for decorative wall cladding, partitions, canopies, and backing panels for signage or billboards.

Material TypeWeather Resistance LevelTypical Applications
Galvanized Steel Coil (GI)EconomicalGeneral-purpose hoarding/fencing, roofing for temporary structures, and applications with low weather-resistance requirements.
Galvalume Steel Coil (GL)Mid-to-High EndRoofing and hoarding/fencing requiring superior corrosion resistance; suitable for coastal areas or environments with high pollution levels.
Pre-painted Steel Coil (PPGI/PPGL)Varies by Coating TypeRoofing, hoarding/fencing, and decorative panels requiring specific colors; PVDF coatings are recommended for applications demanding high weather resistance.

Quality and Supply For raw material coils

We provide original manufacturer quality certificates and test reports for coatings/platings. Roll forming is carried out according to the client’s specified profile, ensuring that the rib height, pitch, and effective width meet the agreed-upon requirements. The length of the finished panels is customized based on transportation constraints and on-site installation needs. Export packaging can be provided in compliance with maritime shipping standards.
